TCI Media Services (Puget Sound) has hired Barbara Marshall as a national client development coordinator in the Seattle office.
Paul Fogarty, Mary Knack and Shawn Burnham have joined the Seattle office of Williams, Kastner & Gibbs LLP as associates. Fogarty's practice includes commercial disputes, environmental litigation, toxic torts and general litigation. Knack has joined the Health Care Practice Group and Appellate Practice group where she will focus on health care regulatory issues, medical malpractice defense and appellate matters. Burnham joins the Business, Tax and Financial Services Practice Group and will practice in matters dealing with bankruptcy and secured transactions.
Megan Muir, a litigation associate in the Seattle office of Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, has been elected to the board of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the King County Bar Association. YLD focuses on community service by and professional development opportunities for young lawyers.
Katja Asaro has been promoted to sales manager of Seattle's Sorrento Hotel, where she will handle group sales and functions.
Columbia Resource Group, an international event management and business communications firm, has hired Mara Parker as program coordinator. Parker will be coordinating logistics on a variety of CRG client projects including the International Trade and the Environment Conference, Pacific Northwest Congressional Staff Visit and the G.E. Capital Conference.
Bellevue Art Museum will present its sixth Pacific Northwest Annual from June 28 through Aug. 17. The juried exhibition includes 90 works by 49 artists from the region and represents works in all media. The juror for this exhibition is Kathryn Kanjo, curator of Contemporary Art, Portland Art Museum.

Ken Bourland, Dennis Condit and Jeffrey Woollen have been hired to staff the newly opened Commerce Loan Co. loan production office serving the Puget Sound area and the state of Washington. Commerce Loan Co. is a division of San Diego-based Bank of Commerce, the nation's leading SBA bank lender.
Washington State Labor Commissioner and long-time University of Washington volunteer Carver Gayton has been selected to receive the 1997 UW Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award.
Seattle University's Small Business Institute is looking for small business owners interested in receiving free advice during summer quarter, June 23 through August 16. The institute provides two- to five-member teams of senior business students to conduct in-depth consulting at no charge. To be eligible, a business must have fewer than 50 employees, have been in business for at least one year, and be able to provide information on its operation for a minimum of one-year period. Columbia Wine & Spirits (C.W. & S.), the sales and marketing division of Associated Vinters, Inc. (A.V.I.) has announced its affiliation with Norman Wines, an Australian wine company. C.W. & S. will become Norman's U.S. importer and distributor. Thomas Castrilli has been appointed as the Eastern Division Manager for C.W. & S.
Linda O'Brien, human resource manager of the Seattle law office of Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, has been chosen as the new 1997-98 president of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). ALA is a non-profit organization dedicated to improvement in the legal workplace through management education and support.
The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle announced that King County Executive Ron Sims will receive the Edwin T. Pratt Award. The award is given to the person, organization or group making an outstanding contribution to furthering equal opportunity for African Americans and other people of color, as well as the poor.
