Continental Savings Bank, Seattle, has promoted employees Paulette Lemon, Gerry Bogue, Michael Omalev, Laurence Plumb, Kyle Samuels and Mary Vincent to senior vice presidents. Lemon is senior vice president for sales and marketing in Washington and Oregon. Bogue is senior vice president of information systems. Omalev is senior vice president of human resources. Plumb is senior vice president of loan administration. Samuels is a senior vice president and the company's general counsel and secretary. Vincent is senior vice president of internal audit and compliance. Debra L. Johnson has been promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
Da Vinci Gourmet has appointed Michael Roos territory manager and Brad Houser assistant marketing manager. Roos will be based out of Portland. Houser will join the Seattle group and focus on web site and promotions development. Seattle-based Da Vinci Gourmet produces flavored syrups, sauces and chocolate confections.
Westport Shipbuilding of Westport has received a contract to build a passenger vessel to carry employees and commuters between the Kennecott Greens Creek Mining Co. site on Admiralty Island and Juneau, Alaska. Westport expects to deliver the 100-foot, 149-passenger fiberglass boat in the fall. Designed by Jack Sarin, a Bainbridge Island naval architect, the vessel will be operated by the TMT Corp.
Robert C. Wallace, chair of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, has been named Bellevue's citizen of the year in the Best of Bellevue awards. Wallace is also the managing partner of Wallace Properties Group. The Best of Bellevue awards will be held April 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Bellevue Place Wintergarden. Tickets are $35 each and may be purchased by calling (425) 883-8443.
2Way Corp. has appointed Bill Brown vice president of corporate development. Brown formerly served as director of strategic alliances for Wall Data. The Seattle company presents, collects, analyzes and shares web information with customers and colleagues.
Gregg Hoyer has joined Simpson Door Co. in McCleary as sales and marketing manager. Hoyer formerly worked for Georgia Pacific Corp. as general manager of a millwork distribution facility. Simpson is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Simpson Investment Co. in Seattle.

A strategic communications and public relations firm, Graves Group of Seattle, has been formed by R. Danner Graves. Services include situation analysis, communications research, issues and trends projections, employee relations, marketing communications, community/civic involvement and strategic media relations. Graves was previously president of Communication Northwest.
Sandusky Radio has appointed Scott Painethe new director of marketing for the company's five Seattle stations. This is a new position created by Sandusky based on increased growth in the Seattle radio market. Paine recently served as marketing director for Sandusky stations KLSY-FM and KIXI-AM.
Sunny Kim has joined the law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky in the Seattle office as an associate and will concentrate her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and intellectual property law. Kim previously worked for the Minneapolis firm of Rider, Bennet, Egan & Arundel.
The City of Seattle has hired Mike Schoeppach as its new labor relations director. Schoeppach will lead Seattle's 12-person labor relations unit, which provides internal support to city departments. Schoeppach served as executive director of the Bellevue Education Association for 18 years.
Sunrise Assisted Living of Bellevue, a new assisted living residence near Crossroads, has appointed Joe Mikalajunas executive director. Mikalajunas will manage the home for 84 residents and had a similar post in the company's New England region. Marilyn Holloway has been appointed director of community relations. Les Ostermeier has been appointed director of community relations. Sunrise is scheduled to open this summer.
Odyssey, The Maritime Discovery Center, has named the following new members to its board of directors: Diane Butler, attorney at Lane Powell Spears Lubersky; Mark Callaghan, director of business development for Nextlink; and Ellen Cecchinelli of Bellevue.
One Reel, a Seattle-based arts and special events production company, has hired Sponsorship Manager Maura Ahearne to secure corporate, media and in-kind sponsorships for WOMAD USA. Beth Brooks joined One Reel as project director for WOMAD USA, overseeing the logistics, marketing and communications for the world music and dance festival to be held this summer in Marymoor Park. Public Relations Manager Sarah Ryan oversees public relations efforts for the AT&T Family Fourth celebration and Club Nights at the Pier concert series.
