Bobbi Whisler, division credit manager of Unisource Northwest, has been elected chairman of the board of the National Association of Credit Management, Western Washington-Alaska. The association is a member-owned credit service organization, founded in 1899.
Graham & James/Riddell Williams is expanding its Seattle Litigation Practice Group with the addition of two associates, Sohee Ahn and Barbara McIntosh. Ahn and McIntosh both practice general litigation and environmental law.
Tom Stokes, president of Selah-based Tree Top, Inc.'s consumer packaged goods division, was recently installed as chairman of Northwest Food Processors Association.
The Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers received a "Stars of the Industry" award from the American Hotel and Motel Association. The Sheraton Seattle was one of 11 hotels selected from properties across the United States. The Sheraton was presented with an award in the Ongoing Special Events category for their annual Gingerbread Village fundraiser.
The Washington State Lottery has selected the Seattle offices of EvansGroup, an advertising firm, as its marketing communication services firm. The Lottery estimates the value of its account at approximately $6.5 million annually.

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. has selected Frank Russell Co. of Tacoma as the best large family business in the National Family Business of the Year awards. Frank Russell Co. is an investment services firm, specializing in advising pension fund managers.
A new web page with over 300 pages of information about Washington state's international programs and international trade has been developed by the International Trade Division of the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development.

Recreational Equipment Inc., REI, will open two new stores in 1998, including one in Redmond Town Center, and move two stores to larger locations. Each of the stores will showcase interactive design elements that were first introduced at the Seattle flagship store.
Gilbert W. Andersona past president and chief financial officer of the Physio-Control Corp., has been named to the Seattle Public Library Board of Trustees.
Ken Schrang has been hired as the U.S. market vice president of sales for Helly Hansen. Helly Hansen, is headquartered in Norway, with U.S. corporate headquarters in Redmond.
