Office of the Treasurer

Shad Pruitt, a veteran of more than 10 years with the state Auditor's Office, will join the Office of the State Treasurer on Dec. 6 as compliance director. Pruitt will oversee the office's work to correct compliance problems and resolve any outstanding issues with the IRS.

Highline Water District

Highline Water District has announced promotions and newly hired personnel. Recently promoted are Debbie Prior and Greg Wilson. Prior was promoted from customer service supervisor to finance supervisor. Wilson is promoted from meter reader and billing clerk to customer service supervisor. Sandi DeChon was hired as an accounting clerk and Sara Booth was hired as a billing clerk.

Redmond Chiropractic Center

Dr. Gordon Townsend, owner and operator of the Redmond Chiropractic Center, was named International Chiropractor of the Year by Sacro Occipital Research Society International. Townsend was recognized for his contributions in research and teaching of special sacral occipital and cranial techniques.

Northwest Institute of Acupuncture

Dr. Hazel A. Philp joined the Seattle's Northwest Institute of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine as academic dean. Philp most recently served as department chair for acupuncture and Oriental medicine for the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.

Northern Trust Bank will open its first Northwest office on November 22 in Seattle. Dennis Mitchell will serve as president and chief executive officer. Mitchell has 17 years experience in the banking and investment industry, most recently completing 11 years with Key Bank.

Diversified, a Mukilteo-based sub contract manufacturer that employs the developmentally disabled, announced the appointment of Sandy McDonald as president. Prior to joining Diversified, McDonald held the position of director of technical services at Spacelabs Medical, manager of technical services of Becton-Dickinson Co. and technical service manager at BF Goodrich
