Marketfitz, a Seattle-based marketing services company, announced three additions to its management team. Ruth Friedman joins the company as a relationship manager and will work with high-tech clients to assess their marketing needs. Erin Baebler is a new talent manager and will manage the company's marketing, research and business development associates. Eric Nielsen is an information technology manager and will manage the company's technology infrastructure.
Graham & Dunn, a Seattle-based multi-practice law firm, announced the addition of four attorneys. James Simon joins as a shareholder and a member of the labor and employment team. Randall Moeller joins as of counsel and a member of the intellectual property team. Michael Raskasky and Michael Williams both join the firm as associates. Raskasky will work with the banking and finacial institutions team and Williams will work in the technology ventures and e-commerce team.
Washington State Treasurer Michael Murphy signed a contract with Bank of America to provide the state's principal banking and cash management services. The contract calls for the bank to process cash flows of more than $230 billion annually. Bank of America has held the contract for the past four years. The new contract is a five-year contract that begins July 1.
Valley Bank celebrated the opening of its new facility at 10th and D Street in Auburn with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 8. The bank originally opened in Auburn 18 months ago in a store-front location. A public grand opening celebration will be held June 21-23
Pacific Coast Restaurants of Portland has hired Gregg Adams as its new director of construction and maintenance. Adams served as president of Adams Construction of Gresham, Ore., for 30 years. His new responsibilities include the day-to-day upkeep of existing restaurants and overseeing new construction projects. Pacific Coast Restaurants operates Stanford's and Newport Bay restaurants in the Seattle area.

David Thorud, dean emeritus of the college of forest resources at the University of Washington, has ended his tenure on the state Board of Natural Resources. The board guides policies for the 5.8 million acres of state lands managed by the state Department of Natural Resources. The focus of Thorud's professional interests were on watershed management, forest hydrology, forest management and international natural resource policy.
Allrecipes.com, an online meal planning resource, announced agreements with Nestle, Eaglebrand and Keebler. Nestle and Eaglebrand have each signed sponsorship agreements with Allrecipes.com. Keebler has agreed to share Web content with Allrecipes.com and post Allrecipes.com's linked logo on the Keebler party-planning site.
Evergreen Healthcare announced the opening of its Parkinson Care Center in Kirkland.
President Jack Oharah named Kathy Beem vice president for human resources at Edmonds Community College. An administrator at the college since 1987, Beem had served as interim vice president for 10 months, was director of human resources and employment services, associate human resources director and director of corrections education.
Seattle University President Stephen V. Sundborg, S.J, has appointed David Arnesenacting dean of the Albers School of Business & Economics. Arnesen, currently chair of the Department of Management, joined the Seattle University faculty in 1984. Mary Rivers, associate professor of economics and finance, has been appointed interim associate dean for the 2000-2001 academic year, and will assist Arnesen. She previously served as acting associate dean during the 1997-1998 academic year.
Repsol YPF, a worldwide oil, chemical and gas company, has awarded Crowley Marine Services de Venezuela a multi-year contract to support its Eastern Venezuela exploration and production operations. Crowley will provide storage and inventory control of oilfield equipment and coordination of all land services between the base and drilling and production areas. Crowley Marine has its West Coast operating headquarters in Seattle.
