Navigant International/Northwest, a Seattle-based travel agency, has named Marla Rosenberg regional director of sales and service. Rosenberg will direct the company's sales efforts throughout the region as well as manage its client service staff that serves more than 1,000 Navigant corporate offices.
Ogden Murphy Wallace, a Seattle law firm, announced that Wayne Tanaka has been elected managing member of firm, Karen Sutherland has been elected assistant managing member, Michael Wickstead has been named chair of the firm's business department and James Haney has been named chair of the firm's municipal department. Tanaka will also continue his role as the firm's lead municipal attorney. Sutherland also chairs the firm's employment and labor law practice group. Wickstead is the senior attorney in the firm's bankruptcy and creditor/debtor group. Haney focuses his practice on municipal representation.
Joshua Kuchenmeister, Ryan Parker, John Hayes, Randy Dutra, Erik Hansen, Christine Nguyen, Andy Sook, Lauri Vanderslott and John Jeub have been named agents for the Country Companies insurance group. Kuchenmeister, Parker, Hayes, Hansen, Nguyen and Vandersloot's offices are located in Beaverton, Ore. Dutra's office is in Everett. Sook will work out of his office in Oregon City, Ore., and Jeub out of his office in Tualatin, Ore. All the agents recently completed the company's new agent school.
Robert Ferguson has been named office managing director in Korn/Ferry, an executive recruitment company, in its Seattle office. Previously, Ferguson was a managing director in the executive recruiting firm's Princeton, N.J., office. He has had extensive experience with healthcare-related clients, especially in FDA-regulated industries.
Data I/O, a Redmond-based device programming and handling solutions company, announced the appointment of John Vicklund as vice president of human resources. Vicklund brings with him more than 25 years of human resource development and management to the newly created position. He served as vice president of human resources for 20 years at Eldec Corp., a Crane company and electronics manufacturer.
Portland-based communications company Waggener Edstrom announced an agreement to acquire pr.com, a Kirkland-based public relations and communications agency. According to the agreement, pr.com will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Waggener Edstrom, keeping its company name and leadership team of Teresa Fausti, president and CEO, and David Wilson, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, as well as its existing account teams. The agreement will allow both agencies to expand upon their respective strengths in delivering communications counsel and services to their clients
