Cindy Hecker has been appointed associate administrator of patient care services (PCS) and chief nursing officer for Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Hecker has worked at Harborview for the past 20 years, beginning as a staff nurse on the acute care general surgery unit and most recently served as the assistant administrator of PCS for critical care, the burn center and surgical services.

Seattle law firm Ogden Murphy Wallace announced that Phil Obrechts has returned to the firm as of counsel in the municipal department and that Tod Gold, Teena Williams, Tori Fischer, Emmelyn Hart-Biberfeld, Chris Ajemian and Deric Martin have become associates of the firm. Obrechts focuses on land use law. Gold and Williams join the firm's environmental law practice group. Fischer joins the business and estate planning departments. Emerald Turfgrass Farms

Emerald Turfgrass Farms, established March 17, 1961, celebrates 40 years of sod production in the Puget Sound area. The sod-producing farm will move its corporate headquarters to its new location in Sumner on March 19. The new facility will also serve as the Puget Sound distribution yard.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

The 12th Annual MS Walk, sponsored by Immunex, will be held on May 5, 6 and 12. Funds raised will support research efforts and programs for over 6,500 clients served by the Greater Washington Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Tacoma Power’s Click! Network has won the Silver Pyramid Award from the Promotional Products Association International. Click! is the first Pierce County firm to win this award, which recognizes effective use of promotional products in marketing campaigns. The award was presented for the firm’s Cinema Classics movie soundtrack CD, developed with Tacoma advertising firm Adventures in Advertising/Imprint.com.
