International College of Chiropractors

Dr. Doug Nordstrom has been elected a fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. The honor is one of the highest awards bestowed by the chiropractic profession, recognizing members who have contributed to the advancement of healthcare in the chiropractic profession or outside the profession. Nordstrom practices in Marysville.

Pacific Fire & Security

David Justice has joined Pacific Fire & Security as low voltage designer and estimator. He brings more than 20 years experience in the fire and security industry to the position. Pacific Fire & Security designs and installs fire alarm, life safety, security, access control and closed-circuit television systems for commercial and industrial customers in the Puget Sound area.

Anthony's Restaurant

Ray Caldwell is the new chief financial officer at Anthony's Restaurants. Caldwell was previously CFO of Borden Chemical. Anthony's owns and operates 18 restaurants in 13 waterfront locations throughout the Puget Sound region, and operates its own seafood company, Anthony's Seafood.

Who’s Calling

Fred Wright has resigned his position as president and CEO of Kirkland's Who’s Calling. Robin Krueger, chief financial officer, and Peter Scheurmier, vice president of product strategy and research, have also resigned. According to the company, there were policy differences between the board and Wright that could not be resolved, Scheurmier’s position had been eliminated due to redundancy and Krueger had determined her capabilities were not a good fit with the company’s financial and funding objectives. No financial misconduct or professional impropriety was attributed to the resignations. John F. Stapleton, a member of the Who’s Calling board of directors will serve as interim CEO.

The Frause Group

The Frause Group named Laura Hyland account executive, Maggie Foote account coordinator and Sara Westerlund receptionist. The Frause Group, based in Seattle, provides public relations, public affairs and marketing communications services.

Stoel Rives

Todd E. Barker, Lee J. Brunz, Serena S. Carlsen and Robert L. Hines have joined the Seattle office of Stoel Rives. Barker and Brunz are associates in the corporate practice group. Barker was previously with the firm's Portland office and Brunz previously served as vice president, general counsel and secretary of The Cobalt Group. Carlsen and Hines are of counsel in the real estate practice group, Carlsen was previously a partner at Dorsey & Whitney and Hines had a solo real estate, corporate and intellectual practice.

The 5th Avenue Theatre

As part of its effort to increase its board of directors to 30 members by fall 2004, The 5th Avenue Theatre has named Dan McConnell and Robert Sexton as board members. McConnell is managing director of DDB Public Relations. Sexton is a senior vice president and regional manager of Wells Fargo's regional commercial banking office in Seattle. The 5th Avenue board now has 15 members.

Bastyr University

Bastyr University named Prudy Rolfe as the recipient of a Bastyr University Mission Award. Rolfe is recognized for her efforts to improve the health and well being of the community. She is an active spokesperson for the university, and complementary and alternative medicine. She has helped Bastyr achieve credibility and recognition for its achievements. Rolfe currently serves on the Bastyr University Board of Regents.

WK&G

Holly B. Benton has joined Williams, Kastner & Gibbs as an associate in the Seattle office. Benton, a former member of the firm, was recently with Dorsey & Whitney. Benton's practice is currently focused on employment law and general litigation. She plans to expand her practice to family law.
