Susan Larson has been promoted at Columbia Bank from private banking officer to assistant vice president. Larson will focus on quality assurance for Columbia Private Banking. Larson has been with Tacoma-based Columbia Bank since 1993.
Mortgage broker Versata named Tram Bowen and Wendy Dierick loan officers. Bowen will be based in Versata's Lacey office. Dierick will also serve as an assistant in the firm's construction department. Versata has offices in Lacey and Aberdeen.
Intrepid Learning Solutions of Tacoma has been awarded a two-year, multi-million dollar contract by Boeing to design and develop instructor-led and e-learning courseware. Intrepid will work with the learning, education, assessments and development organization of Boeing's Shared Services Group to provide training services primarily to employees in the Puget Sound region in industrial, technical, safety and business awareness.
Scott K. Tsumura has been named senior vice president of Japan/Asia business strategy at Amaze Entertainment and executive studio director of the company's BlackShip Games. Tsumura previously served as president of Nintendo Software Technology Corp., managing the production of Nintendo games. Through its five studios, Adrenium Games, The Fizz Factor, Griptonite Games, KnowWonder and BlackShip Games, the Kirkland-based company creates games for handheld devices, PCs and game consoles.
Paul Guppy has been honored with the Governmental News Reporting of the Year Award from The Municipal League of King County. The award recognizes Guppy's work at the Washington Policy Center, where he serves as vice president for research.

Eugene L. Grant has joined Davis Wright Tremaine's Portland office as a partner. Grant is currently serving his second four-year term as mayor of Happy Valley. Prior to joining Davis Wright Tremaine, Grant spent 24 years at the Portland firm of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt.
The National Association of Credit Management for Western Washington and Alaska named Gerry Gilbert as chairman of the board. Gilbert is credit and collections manager for SimplexGrinnell. The organization also named Kim Sizemore, accounting manager at Rice Insurance, chairman-elect; Donald Conklin, president; Karen Parks, vice president-secretary; and Claude Harmon, treasurer.
The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce recently awarded its 2003 Eastside Business Awards. Clark Nuber was named Eastside Business of the Year with finalists First Mutual Bank and MulvannyG2 Architects. Kemper Development Co. won the Economic Leadership Award with finalists MulvannyG2 Architects and Puget Sound Energy. The Bellevue Botanical Garden Society won the Eastside Destination Award, and finalists Crossroads Shopping Center and Meydenbauer Center. The Innovative Business Award winner is TeleSym, with finalists Knowledge Anywhere and The Master's Experience. The Corporate Citizenship Award went to TalkingRain Beverage Co., with finalists Puget Sound Energy and Seattle Thunderbirds.
