Cole & Weber/Red Cell

Cole & Weber/Red Cell promoted Alexandra Wheeler to account director in the agency's integrated client services group. Previously interactive account supervisor, Wheeler will continue to oversee the agency's University of Phoenix and Texas Instruments' DLP accounts.

State Capital Global Law Firm Group

Clifford Webster was elected president of the State Capital Global Law Firm Group, a network of capital-based law firms. Webster is a principal at Carney Badley Spellman, a Seattle-based law firm, where he is head of the government affairs practice.

Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe

Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, a San Francisco-based law firm, added 16 new attorneys to the Seattle office. New shareholders include Scott D. Benner, Sonya F. Erickson and John W. Robertson. New Associates include Aneelah Afzali, Malaika M. Eaton, Gordon H. Empey, Brian Finrow, Charles J. Ha, Blake A. Ilstrup, Paul R. Mobley, John C. Morrow, Kara Diane Palmer, Greg Papciak, R. Omar Riojas, Marketa Vorel and Seth Wilkinson. Many of the new attorneys joined the Seattle office as a result of a recent merger between Heller and the Venture Law Group.

King County

Bill Huennekens was named King County's new superintendent of elections. Huennekens comes to King County from the state elections division in the Secretary of State's office where he served as the elections policy analyst and rules coordinator for the past four years. Prior to that, he was the superintendent of elections in Mason County.

Mega Cars, LLC

Mega Cars of Lakewood, a franchise of Aamco Transmissions, appointed Kurt Enge operations manager of the north Puget Sound area. Enge has been affiliated with Mega Cars for four years after eight years in the general automotive sales and service industry.

United Way of King County

United Way of King County, a not-for-profit community-impact organization, moved its headquarters to 720 Second Ave. in Seattle. The organization's former location, the Loman Building at 107 Cherry St., was sold to Condominium Marketing Group. The new owner will convert that structure into an apartment building.

Puget Energy

Puget Energy named Bertrand A. Valdman senior vice president and the next chief financial officer of its subsidiary, Puget Sound Energy. Valdman will succeed Puget Energy's current CFO Steve McKeon when he retires in January. Valdman is currently a managing director for JP Morgan Securities.

Theatre Communications Group

Benjamin Moore, managing director of Seattle Repertory Theatre, was elected to the board of directors of the Theatre Communications Group, a national organization of not-for-profit theatres. Moore joined Seattle Repertory Theatre in 1985 following 15 years with the American Conservatory Theatre.

Cole & Weber/Red Cell

Cole & Weber/Red Cell, a Seattle-based marketing agency, added Cynarah Alacantara, Caroline Johnston and Kimberly Koskenmaki to its client services division in the Seattle office. Alacantara, account executive, and Johnston, account supervisor, will focus on the agency's Microsoft account. Koskenmaki is an account executive on the University of Phoenix and Texas Instruments' DLP accounts.

Weber Shandwick

Weber Shandwick, a public relations firm based in New York City, promoted Tim Fry to senior vice president and Wayne Hickey and Michelle Gettle to vice president in the Bellevue office. New hires include Brooke Shepard, group manager, and Jason Wellcome, account executive. Kara Udziela was promoted to account director in the Portland office.
