Pamela Goulder joined EvergreenBank as Bellevue office branch manager. Goulder will lead a relationship manager and two personal finance representatives. Goulder comes to EvergreenBank from Pacific Northwest Bank, where she was financial services manager for the Mercer Island office. EvergreenBank is a subsidiary of EvergreenBancorp and also has offices in Seattle, Lynnwood and Federal Way.
Seattle-based Holland America Line promoted Dan Grausz to senior vice president of fleet operations. Grausz will oversee nautical, technical, port operations and Caribbean relations. Holland America Line and Windstar Cruises have a fleet of 16 vessels. Grausz will continue as general counsel for Holland America Line until a successor is named.
Jataayu Software of Bangalore, India, has opened an office in Bellevue. Raj Kesarimall, who has helped establish Jataayu worldwide, heads the American operations as CEO. The Bellevue office will provide access and customer support to customers in the Americas. Jataayu creates messaging and browsing software for mobile terminals and has offices in the U.K., Singapore and Korea.
The Port of Everett hired Scott Grindy as manager for marine terminals. Grindy was director of facilities at the University of Washington and Cascadia Community College Campus in Bothell. He will direct operations and oversee security at the port's three marine terminals.
FreedomRoads, a Linconshire, Ill.-based recreational vehicle retailer, acquired Foley's RV of Mount Vernon. FreedomRoads is a network of local and regional RV dealerships. FreedomRoads operates as a retail chain. It employs more than 1,500 associates and operates 44 locations in 18 states.
J. P. Michael was named senior vice president and regional managing director of Comerica Bank's Northwest technology and life sciences division. Michael will direct lenders and support staff for the Northwest and Western Canada. Michael specializes in debt and equity financing. The Western division of Comerica Bank includes more than 41 branches in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. Comerica is headquartered in Detroit.
Ecuity, a Bellevue voice and data communications company, appointed Shane Smith chief executive officer. Smith, who also serves as chairman of the board, was executive vice president of business development. King Cole continues as president. The company works on secure, encrypted text messaging and document transmission. In creating Ecuity, management acquired the majority of the assets of Fox Communications, an 18-year-old regional telephone company headquartered in Bellevue. With that acquisition, Ecuity acquired the operational assets supporting 18,000 telephone customers.

Rueben A. Mayes was named director of development for the Washington State University office of undergraduate education, which coordinates undergraduate programs and helps faculty fulfill accreditation requirements. Mayes was assistant dean for external relations at the University of Washington business school.
Merchandise agency Bensussen Deutsch & Associates recently promoted Tom Economou and Nekko Ward Shefferly to divisional vice presidents of sales. Economou will work on business management for corporate sales teams and oversee partner account teams including Bank of America, FedEx, Dell, Boeing and Microsoft. Ward Shefferly will work on corporation partnerships and prospect new markets. Ron Alessandrini was promoted to divisional vice president of consumer products. Alessandrini will oversee product development and marketing.
Sherry Mondou is vice president for finance and administration at the University of Puget Sound. She replaces Karen A. Goldstein. Mondou has been interim vice president since March, and has been a controller and associate vice president for finance at the university. She was also an auditor with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co., now KPMG, in Seattle.
Residential finance company Countrywide Home Loans promoted Jose Hidalgo from Seattle branch manager to area manager, to cover Vashon and Bainbridge islands, and the area from Mukilteo to south Seattle. Hidalgo will hire 120 new employees and open at least 10 new offices. Countrywide provides mortgage banking and financial services and is headquartered in Calabasas, Calif. More than 30,000 employees work in 600 offices.
