Wells Fargo Private Client Services has named Brock Loen as Seattle regional sales manager. Loen was a financial consultant for Ragen MacKenzie in Seattle.

Davis Wright Tremaine

Davis Wright Tremaine has rehired Katie Rosen as an associate in its Seattle office. She worked for the law firm until 2005, when she started working for the Los Angeles office of law firm Morgan Lewis.

Baldwin Resource Group

Baldwin Resource Group hired Mike Gano as president. He was president of Kibble & Prentice in Seattle. Baldwin Resource Group, an insurance, risk management and business consulting firm in Bellevue, merged with the Meacham Group in January.

Alaska Airlines

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has awarded the 2006 E. Donnall Thomas Medal of Achievement to Alaska Airlines. The annual award celebrates business leaders who have dedicated their lives to excellence and compassion. Alaska Airlines' corporate-giving program emphasizes contributions to education, medical research and social services.

D.A. Davidson

D.A. Davidson & Co., an investment firm based Great Falls, Mont., is opening a new office in Walla Walla and expanding in Kennewick. Senior vice president and financial consultant Sharon Rhodes will manage both branches.

The Westin Seattle hired Edward Villacorta as pastry chef. Villacorta was pastry chef at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

WSDOT

The Washington State Department of Transportation's freight planning received an honorable mention from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the American Planning Association in the 2006 Transportation Planning Excellence Awards.

Banner Bank

Banner Bank executive vice president and manager of the corporate banking division John Neill has been appointed to the board of directors for Special Olympics of Washington. Banner Bank is based in Walla Walla.

Tumble Creek Golf Club

Bill Tindall has been appointed head golf pro at Tumble Creek Golf Club near Roslyn. He was director of golf at The Members Club at Aldarra in Fall City. Tumble Creek is part of the 6,300-acre Suncadia resort.

Downtown Seattle Association

The Downtown Seattle Association has selected its board of trustees for the coming year. Officers include Chair Pat Callahan of Equity Office Properties, Vice Chair John Hanley Jr. of Heller Ehrman and Secretary Patrick Gordon of Zimmer Gunsul Frasca. New board members include Mark Barbieri of Washington Holdings, Mic Dinsmore of the Port of Seattle, R.B. Harrison of Macy's, Nate Miles of Eli Lilly, Benson Porter of Washington Mutual and Jared Smith of Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade Douglas.

Oki Golf has hired CiCi Pilgrim as golf instructor at The Golf Club at Newcastle. She was a golf pro at Mountain View Country Club in La Quinta, Calif. Oki Golf has five public and two private courses, and is headquartered in Bellevue.
