The Port of Everett hired Cyndy Olson as marina director. Olson has 10 years of experience working in marinas, including Elliott Bay and Semiahmoo. She was recently a boat/yacht insurance agent.

McKinley Irvin

McKinley Irvin, a Seattle-based family law firm, hired Jessica C. Munk as an associate attorney and Daniel Carpenter as a marketing manager. Munk served as a clerk at the Washington State Court of Appeals Division I. Carpenter worked with Taylor Gregory Butterfield Architects for three years.

K&L Gates

William H. Neukom, a partner in the Seattle office of law firm Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis, is the 131st president of the American Bar Association. Neukom was Microsoft Corp.'s lead lawyer for 25 years and has worked with the association for 35 years. The ABA says it is the largest voluntary professional membership association in the world and has 400,000 members.

Theater Xtreme

Theater Xtreme Entertainment Group, a nationwide retailer and installer of home movie theaters, announced the grand opening of its newest location in Lynnwood at 6809 Highway 99, Suite C. The design center is operated by Scott Fehr. Theatre Xtreme has five stores and 10 franchises in 11 states.

Seattle-based Medio Systems, a mobile search and advertising company, hired John C. Kim to the new position of vice president of product management and product marketing. Kim has six years experience in the search advertising market, most recently from Yahoo! Search Marketing

SNW

Seattle-Northwest Securities Corp., an investment banking firm, hired Carolie Smith as vice president for its subsidiary company SNW Asset Management and Beth Goldberg as vice president for its investment banking team. Smith is a 35-year veteran of fixed-income securities and financial markets. Goldberg has 15 years experience and was a budget supervisor with King County.

All Star Directories

Seattle-based All Star Directories, an Internet publisher of school directories, hired Jason Meredith as director of program management. Meredith was with Corbis, the image licensing company, where he served as vice president of program management.

Foster Pepper

The Seattle office of law firm Foster Pepper said Ramsey Ramerman, an associate in its Municipal Government Practice Group, has been appointed by Gov. Christine Gregoire to serve on the newly created Public Records Accountability Executive Committee. The committee will review exemptions to the Washington public records disclosure law to determine if they serve the public interest.

Virginia Mason Medical Center

Virginia Mason Medical Center hired Joe Rothrock as internal communications manager in the Communications and Public Relations Department. Rothrock worked for Safeco Insurance for 10 years. Virginia Mason Medical Center is a non-profit comprehensive regional health care system.

Pathway Medical Technologies

Pathway Medical Technologies hired Joseph W. Rafferty as vice president of sales. Rafferty has 25 years of experience in the medical-device industry and worked with ACS/Guidant. Pathway has also moved its headquarters to a new 51,000-square-foot building at 10801 120th Ave. N.E. in Kirkland

Resolute Solutions

Bellevue-based Resolute Solutions Corp., a business and technology consulting firm, promoted Mark Thompson to chief operating officer. He was chief technology officer.
