Northwest Hospital & Medical Center added Karen L. Miller to its medical staff as an internist. She will be joining the practice of the Lake Forest Park Medical Clinic in North Seattle.
Bellevue-based GA Creative, a design and marketing firm, hired Jan Sheeley as director of business development. Sheeley has 15 years experience in branding and advertising.
Bellevue-based Mycom Group, a provider of remote asset management and telematics solutions, hired Judy Henry as interim chief financial officer. Henry was director of finance at Veritas Solutions. The post was occupied by Cecil Whitlock, who has resigned to pursue private practice.
Kirkland-based Northwest Cellars, a producer and distributor of wines, hired Carrie Conner as regional sales manager. Northwest Cellars expands into the Oregon market with Conner's hiring. She is also a freelance copywriter and writer.
Seattle-based Attenex Corp., an e-discovery software provider, hired J.R. Jesson as senior vice president of product development. Jesson has 20 years experience and worked with EDS Corp.

McKinley Irvin, a Seattle-based family law firm, hired Shiva Eliza Tayebi as an associate attorney. Tayebi worked in New York City and New Jersey as a contract attorney.
The University of Washington Tacoma hired Joseph Lawless as the first executive director of the Milgard School of Business' Center for Corporate Leadership & Social Responsibility. Lawless graduated from the UW Tacoma with a Master of Business Administration in June and was the executive director of the Mary Bridge Children's Foundation.
The Aerospace Training Center at Honolulu Community College has selected Galvin Flying Services of Seattle as flight training provider. Galvin Flying Services provides training in technologically advanced aircraft and is based at Boeing Field. Honolulu Community College is part of the University of Hawaii system.
Gov. Chris Gregoire announced the appointment of Susan J. Craighead of Seattle to the King County Superior Court. Craighead will fill the position vacated by Judge Michael Spearman. Craighead has been a commissioner for the Washington state Court of Appeals since 2002.
