Friends of Youth, a nonprofit that provides services for youth and their families in King and Snohomish counties, appointed Rick Antezana and Jeffrey Barager to the board of directors. Antezana is vice president of Dynamic Language Center. Barager is senior manager at Point B.
Kibble & Prentice, an insurance and financial services company, hired Ryan Shultz to the Commercial Insurance Division as a sales executive. Ryan works with Northwest businesses to develop commercial insurance and risk management programs.
The Resort at The Mountain, an all-season resort near Mount Hood, Ore., hired Daniel Krucke as director of food and beverage. Krucke was the director of food and beverage for Embassy Suites Hotels in 2007, and in 2006 was director of catering at the Benson Hotel.

DNA Brand Mechanics, a Seattle-based communications firm, hired Steve Rudasics and Carole Hurst as co-creative directors, Larry White as senior director, Jenna Wilkes as interactive media manager and Beth Engel as account director. Rudasics was vice president/creative director of Foote Cone & Belding Worldwide. White worked on projects with DNA since 2003 before joining the team full time.
Seattle-based Recreational Equipment hired Bill Baumann as vice president of information technology. Baumann was vice president of IT with Musician's Friend/Guitar Center in Medford, Ore.
Pullman-based Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories promoted Nancy Hindman to chief operating officer. Hindman was senior vice president and chief financial officer and will continue to serve as CFO.
Washington State University named Stephen Jones director of the WSU Research and Extension Center at Mount Vernon. Jones was a molecular cytogeneticist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service.
Coinstar, a Bellevue-based provider of business solutions for retail operations, promoted Paul Davis to chief executive officer effective next April. Davis will succeed Dave Cole who plans to retire next March.
