Gurnsey has 25 years of sales and management experience with a history of community support and activism throughout the area. Wave Business Solutions is part of WaveDivision Holdings providing video, internet and phone services and currently serves Washington, Oregon and California.

YWCA Seattle/King/Snohomish

Kettman

The YWCA Seattle/King/Snohomish promoted Julie Kettman as director of communications and marketing. Kettman has been with the YWCA since 2005 as community affairs specialist; promoted to community affairs manager in 2007 and promoted again to director of events and planning in 2011. The YWCA advances the quality of life for women of all ages, races and faiths meeting critical needs, promote self-sufficiency, reduce violence and achieve equal opportunities.

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute hired Michael Cerne as executive director to begin January 2013. Ray Riutta, current executive director retires at the end of the year and will provide the transitional training. The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute is a nonprofit organization in partnership with the State of Alaska and the Alaska seafood industry, promoting Alaska Seafood in the U.S. and overseas markets.

City of Tacoma

City manager T.C. Broadnax appointed Ricardo Noguera as director of the city's Community and Economic Development Department, and appointed Steve Call as the city's interim finance director. Noquera previously served as the housing and economic development director for the city of Visalia, CA. and Call served as director of the Office of Management and Budget for King county from 2001 to 2005.

Seattle City Council

The Seattle City Council Government Performance and Finance Committee appointed Kendee Yamaguchi to the Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission. Yamaguchi worked in federal and state government and as a private sector lawyer and currently serves as the executive director of the Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs. Northwest Kidney Center

Seattle-based Northwest Kidney Center named Dr. Andy Brockenbrough as medical director of the Kent, WA. dialysis clinic. Dr. Brockenbrough received the Resident Excellence in Teaching Award form the University of Washington Department of Medicine in 2001. Northwest Kidney Centers is a nonprofit organization that keeps people in King and Clallam counties alive with dialysis care; educates the public about kidney health and collaborates with UW Medicine in the Kidney Research Institute.

Leadership Eastside

Kirkland-based Leadership Eastside announced new board of directors: Chair Jeni Craswell, Imagine Housing; Chair-elect Janet Ray, AAA Washington; Immediate past chair Monty Kilcup, GLY Construction; Treasurer Lauren Thomas, Hopelink; At large member Kevin Espirito, Microsoft. New board members: Matt Bott, Kevin Henry, Louis Mendoza, Deana Wilson and Dana McRay as a UW Board Fellow. Leadership Eastside is an inclusive organization that promotes connections, develops and enriches leaders.

Rimon

San Francisco-based Rimon law firm hired Paul Beattie as partner to its new Seattle office. Beattie practices intellectual property law and previously worked for Merchant & Gould. In addition to his legal work Beattie taught at the William Mitchell College of Law and at the Seattle University School of Law. Rimon is a full-services law firm with offices throughout the U.S. and Israel.
