Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle appointed Jeff Sprague as director of finance and Juliann V. West as director of restaurants, bars and events. Sprague was director of finance for The Westin Seattle, and West was the F&B outlets manager for Starwood Hotels and Resorts at Westin Charlotte.

Bothell-based Lovsted-Worthington named Steven Colson as principal and partner. He joined the firm in 2006 as a commercial producer. Lovsted-Worthington is an independent insurance brokerage firm.

Banner Bank

Peterson

Seattle-based Banner Bank hired Dale Peterson as real estate loan officer in the Alderwood branch in Lynnwood. Peterson has specialized in reverse mortgages for the past 15 years, most recently at 1st Reverse Mortgage USA. Banner Bank is a Washington-chartered commercial bank with locations in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County was selected as one of seven Affiliates of Distinction by Habitat for Humanity International. The program honors affiliates that meet or exceed best-practice standards. There are more than 1,500 affiliates in the United States. Kirk Utzinger, Habitat SKC's CEO, and Marty Kooistra, Habitat SKC's senior advisor of strategy and advocacy, accepted the award. Habitat SKC was formed last year when the Seattle/South King County and East King County affiliates merged.

Washington State University

William Andrefsky Jr., professor, graduate coordinator and former chair of the Department of Anthropology, has been named the new dean of the Washington State University Graduate School effective April 1, 2013. Andrefsky, an anthropologist, worked as the director of the Center for Northwest Archeology at WSU from 1999-2000 and also served as interim associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts for that same period. He also served previously as director of WSU's Museum of Anthropology.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt

Portland-based Law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt announced Christopher Howard, a shareholder in the firm's Seattle office, as the 2013 recipient of the John L. Schwabe Client Service Award. The Schwabe firm presents the award to an attorney in the firm who goes “above and beyond” in his or her dedication and service to firm clients.

Tilth Producers of Washington

Seattle-based Tilth Producers of Washington named Michele Catalano as executive director. Catalano built the Pike Place Market Basket CSA into one of the largest not-for-profit cooperative Community Supported Agriculture programs in the nation, and most recently as director of sales and community relations for Full Circle Farm. Tilth Producers of Washington is a statewide, non-for-profit educational and advocacy organization who promotes ecologically sound, economically viable and socially equitable farming practices.
