Seattle-based management consulting firm Point B named Chuck Ritter president of consulting. Ritter, a 19-year consulting veteran, has been a key figure in Point B's growth over the last nine years. He launched Point B's Chicago office and most recently worked as managing director of industries with responsibility for growing industry-focused practices.
The Washington Restaurant Association awarded Monique Trudnowski, owner of Tacoma's Adriatic Grill Italian Cuisine & Wine Bar, the Faces of Diversity American Dream Award. The award recognizes diverse members in the industry who have achieved success through hard work and perseverance.

Sound Publishing President Gloria Fletcher named Josh O'Connor publisher of the Everett Daily Herald effective May 1. O'Connor will continue as vice president of Sound Publishing, a position he has held since 2008.
The Association of Zoos & Aquariums has granted accreditation to the Seattle Aquarium. The independent nonprofit is dedicated to the advancement of zoos and aquariums in conservation, education, science and recreation.

Bellevue-based consulting firm Salient6 hired Joel Oleson as managing director. Oleson worked at Microsoft for seven years as a leader and developer for SharePoint, the web application platform.
The Federation of Tax Administrators named the Washington State Department of Revenue the winner of the 2013 FTA Award for Outstanding Compliance Program. The award recognizes the department's mobile device application that helps taxpayers, especially small businesses, calculate the right sales tax rates to charge.
