Chris Curtis in June will retire as executive director of the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance, which supports seven markets in Seattle and 120 farmers. Curtis founded the alliance 25 years ago when she started running the U District Farmers Market in the basement of her home. She will work with NFMA through the end of the year on special projects. NFMA is seeking a replacement.
Global door security products company Allegion bought Everett-based AD Systems, a designer and manufacturer of storefront door systems. AD was co-founded in 2013 by Greg Goldfinch. It specializes in sliding and acoustic doors for health care and commercial markets. Allegion is based in Ireland. Seattle M&A advisory firm Meridian Capital represented AD.
Indianapolis-based Vertellus Performance Chemicals on May 1 will change its name to Ascensus Specialties and relocate its headquarters to Bellevue, at 2821 Northup Way, Suite 275. Ascensus will continue industrial chemical production at its Elma manufacturing plant.

Online jeweler Blue Nile appointed Bill Koefoed as CFO. Koefoed has more than 30 years of business experience, most recently as partner and CFO at BCG Digital Ventures, a corporate investment and incubation firm. He also was CFO at Puppet Labs, an IT automation company, and had stints at Microsoft and Skype. Blue Nile is based in Seattle.
David Harrower joined mobile communications company Kymeta as senior vice president of global sales. Harrower was vice president of international sales and business development at VT iDirect, and prior to that developed sales strategies in Eastern Europe for Comtech. Kymeta is based in Redmond.
In Vancouver, Riverview Bancorp promoted Steven Plambeck to executive vice president and chief lending officer. Plambeck has over 30 years of banking experience, including leadership roles at Sterling Savings Bank and U.S. Bank. He succeeds Richard Michalek, who retired in January. Riverview Bancorp is the parent of Riverview Community Bank and Riverview Trust Co.

Corr Cronin said Lawrence R. Cock, C. James Frush and Jack M. Lovejoy joined the Seattle firm as of counsel. All were partners at Cable, Langenbach, Kinerk & Bauer LLP and have since formed CFL Law Group LLP. Cock has over 27 years of experience, focusing on employment, securities, non-competition covenants, trade secrets, and trusts and estate litigation. Frush has over 30 years of experience, focusing on white collar crimes, public disclosure and election laws, and civil rights and medical malpractice cases. Lovejoy has over 12 years of experience, focusing on business disputes, trade secret and unfair competition claims, securities arbitration, employment law and employee transitions.
Thomas J. Sacco was promoted to regional vice president at Cleveland-based Olympic Steel. Sacco joined the company in 1994 and most recently was general manager of the Minnesota Coil Division. He retains that role and adds responsibility for Minnesota Plate operations as well as oversight of the company's Quincy warehouse in Eastern Washington.
Vu Le, executive director of Rainier Valley Corps and creator of Nonprofit AF, won the 2018 Sustainability Hero award from Sustainable Seattle. Rainier Valley Corps promotes social justice.
