SEATTLE -- The city is seeking a general contractor/construction manager to coordinate construction of the new City Hall and Plaza.
The estimated $47-50 million City Hall will be located west of Fifth Avenue, between James and Cherry streets; while the estimated $5.5-7 million Plaza project is planned for the east side of Fourth Avenue between James and Cherry streets. The projects are part of the $224 Civic Center Campus.
The GC/CM will be in charge of coordinating the project team with members including project director Shiels Obletz Johnsen; City Hall and Plaza project manager Brad Tong; City Hall architects Bassetti Architects and Bohlin Gustafson Partners; and landscape architect Swift & Company.
Proposals are due Sept. 15. A mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. For more information contact the Civic Center Project Office at (206) 233-3905. An advertisement appears in today's Daily Journal of Commerce.
