Squeaky clean at dizzying heights

    Squeegee- and bucket-bearing window washers will be creatures of the past if one inventor from Minnesota has his way.

    Unmanned window washers, like the one pictured here, are said to travel about 40 feet per minute and clean about five times faster than human workers.

    Michael Lang, 40, wants to replace them with his automatic window-washing machines, sold through Sky Robotics, a St. Paul company he formed with Mahmoud Sharif, a family acquaintance and bank executive.
