$1.8M back in budget to finish planning of Columbia River tribal fishing villages

    Money is needed to figure out where a village could be located near The Dalles Dam and how it would look.

    An 8,000-square-foot longhouse was completed in Celilo Village, Oregon, in 2005 as part of a five-year redevelopment of the tribal town, managed by the Army Corps. The project, with 15 individual homes, could be duplicated at other villages along the Columbia River.
