Machine digging Ship Canal CSO tunnel is using AI to find boulders in its path

    MudHoney, the tunnel boring machine, is grinding its way from Ballard to Wallingford.

    A crew member installs decking inside the tunnel alongside the rail system. Rail cars move supplies to MudHoney and transport soil from the machine to the Ballard shaft site for disposal.
