Soil box system shows what happens below buildings during earthquakes

    The University of Nevada Reno’s soil box system is reportedly the largest in the U.S. It can hold 350 tons of soil.

    To understand the dynamics of an earthquake and how it affects human-made structures, a group of scientists realized they're going to need a bigger box.
