Allied Construction

Beth Shahan has been promoted to project coordinator at Allied Construction Associates in Everett. Her new responsibilities include coordinating the company's administrative efforts at the startup and closeout of each project, and ensuring subcontractors meet contractual requirements. Shahan also is responsible for acquiring new work for the company through the bidding process.

Brad Berring has joined Olympic Steel Fabricators as a senior estimator. Berring has 23 years of experience as an estimator, field engineer, project manager and contractor. His role at Olympic will also include executive sales and engineering.

Conrex has moved its offices to 4129 Pacific Ave. S.E., Suite 200, Olympia. The company provides construction, design/build, engineering and environmental services. Its phone and fax numbers remain the same.

GLY Construction has hired four new project engineers to meet growing demand. Included are Eric Oehling, Nathan Morello, Jonathan Friedrichsen and Mike Matthews. Oehling holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Oregon State University. He is currently managing an office remodel and addition in Renton, and is working on tenant improvements at Quadrant I-5 Corporate Park. Morello holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Washington State University. He is assisting with various projects at Nintendo's Corporate Campus. Friedrichsen holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. He is providing technical assistance at several office building projects in Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park. Matthews holds a certificate of construction management from the University of Washington. He is currently providing engineering support at Overlake Hospital's Medical Office Tower project.
