Construction law

The Seminar Group will be hosting a Sept. 21 to Sept. 22 conference on construction law at the Hilton Seattle Airport Hotel. The conference, which costs $595 per person, features experts who will speak on effectively dealing with new statutes, regulations and other construction-related developments. Showplace Design & Remodeling

REDMOND -- Three designers from Showplace Design & Remodeling were recognized by the National Kitchen & Bath Association in its 2000 design contest. Diane Foreman was awarded first place in the large bath/renovation category. Delores Hyden received second place in the large bath/new construction category. Fay Liner was recognized with an honorable mention in the large kitchen/renovation category.

Pilchuck Constructors

Pilchuck Constructors Inc. has changed its name to BMW-Pilchuck Constructors Inc. to recognize its association with parent company BMW Constructors, and to lessen the confusion between it and another Pacific Northwest company with a similar name. The company also has established a new office location at 5289 N.E. Elam Young Parkway, G200, in Hillsboro, Ore. BMW-Pilchuck provides mechanical construction services out of its offices in Washington and Oregon.

Bayley Construction

The 19th Annual Bayley Construction Charity Golf Tournament raised $25,000 to benefit the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The event took place last Friday at the Gold Mountain golf course.
