Peter Baker joined Mercer Island-based Express Construction as a project engineer in the tenant improvement division. Baker began his construction career 11 years ago as a laborer and has worked as a project engineer and superintendent. He previously was with the special projects division of Kiewit Construction. He holds an associate's degree in construction technology from the University of Montana, Helena Technical College.

The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington has hired
Robin Brown as continuing education coordinator and
Stephanie King as student services coordinator. Brown is responsible for scheduling continuing education classes and task training classes, and coordinating with the state Department of Labor and Industries for class certification and licensing renewal. She worked as an analyst and project manager for a telecommunications company prior to joining CITC. King is responsible for registering continuing education classes and craft training students, and monitoring student assessments. She also serves as a liaison between craft training instructors and CITC.

The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington hired
Tom Elliott as its regional director for southwest Washington. Elliott is in charge of expanding the group's apprenticeship, craft and task training, and continuing-education classes throughout southwest and Eastern Washington. Elliott has experience in technical education admissions and marketing, and most recently was a supervisor with The Nautilus Group in Vancouver. CITC has training locations from Bellingham to Vancouver, as well as in Spokane.
