The Port of Tacoma promoted David Myers to senior project manager responsible for capital projects related to redevelopment of the Blair-Hylebos Peninsula. Before joining the port in 2003 as a project manager, Myers was an architect for Tacoma-based Thomas Cook Reed Reinvald Architects. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.

PSF Mechanical hired Kim Daniel as an assistant project manager. Daniel has worked in the HVAC industry for more than 15 years. PSF is a design/build mechanical contractor providing wet and dry side engineering.
Mariann Stuart, regional marketing director for Skanska USA Building, has earned the Certified Professional Services Marketer designation from the Society for Marketing Professional Services. To achieve the designation, candidates must meet educational and experience requirements, pass a written examination and abide by a code of ethics.
Ann Parry of Vancouver's Nutter Corp. was named to the board of directors of the Southwest Washington Contractors Association. Parry is assigned to the education and new projects committees. The association is a nonprofit organization supporting the construction industry. It has more than 240 members that include general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers, service providers, engineers, architects, financial institutions and attorneys. Parry works in project management at Nutter.
Walsh Construction Co. added assistant superintendent Tyler Wilson to its Seattle team. Wilson has more than 15 years of experience in residential and commercial construction. He is working on the Thornton Place mixed-use project south of Northgate Mall.
The Master Builders Association of Pierce County recently inducted its 2008 board of directors. The executive committee is comprised of: president Duke York of H. York Enterprises; vice president/treasurer Gary Pederson of Urban Core Construction; second vice president Rick Yorkk of Residential Wiring Specialists; vice president/secretary Cathi Mahan of Action Mortgage; and immediate past president Tom O'Connor of O'Connor and Associates. The MBA of Pierce County is a nonprofit trade association representing more than 1,000 builder and associate member companies.
