Rodda Paint

Portland-based Rodda Paint opened a store in Renton at 1120 S.W. 16th St. Rodda says the new store fills a gap in the Interstate 5/Interstate 405 corridor and surrounding area. It focuses on commercial, industrial, residential and retail consumers. Rodda staff in charge of the store include district manager Job Bork, store manager Michael White and sales representative Mike Radice. Rodda has 60 stores in the Northwest. It is a subsidiary of the Cloverdale Group based in Surrey, B.C.

Blount International

Paul Tonnesen is the new CEO of Blount International in Portland. Tonnesen has over 30 years of industry experience leading and growing brands, most recently as global president of Fiskars Group, a supplier of home, garden and outdoor products. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at Elmer's Products and Kraft Heinz. Tonnesen succeeds Josh Collins, who was CEO since 2009. Blount also announced that President and COO David Willmott has left the company. Blount designs, manufactures and markets replacement parts, equipment and accessories for users in the forestry, lawn and garden, agriculture, and concrete cutting and finishing industries.

Skanska

The Seattle office of Skanska has been certified as Salmon-Safe by the Portland-based environmental certification nonprofit of the same name. Skanska earned this five-year certification by passing Salmon-Safe's water quality requirements. It was the first contractor to achieve Salmon-Safe accreditation in both Washington and Oregon.

Bayley Construction

Mercer Island-based Bayley Construction canceled its 39th annual charity golf tournament, slated for July 31 at The Home Course in DuPont, due to COVID-19 concerns and civil unrest. The event has raised over $1.2 million for charity since its inception. Bayley is already planning its 2021 tournament at Druids Glen in Covington.

Hermanson Co.

Guglielmo

Kent-based Hermanson Co. hired Dan Guglielmo to lead sales and business operations in the Oregon market. Guglielmo is a third-generation mechanical contractor with experience ranging from plumber apprentice to project management to sales, marketing and business development. He previously worked for Scott Co. and JH Kelly. Hermanson provides mechanical and plumbing construction, design-build engineering and service/maintenance.

Maxim Crane Works

Maxim Crane Works expanded its summer internship program to include nearly a dozen new interns at locations across the country, including Seattle. The Cincinnati-based company has students from about six different schools working in sales, marketing, legal, human resources, engineering and operations. Maxim provides crane rental and lifting services.
