Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco has completed a $42 million, 110,000-square-foot terminal expansion and modernization.
The expandion includes viewing areas, passenger concourses and holdrooms, a conference room and elevator tower. A gallery has a restaurant, cafes and gift shop.
Upgrades were made to the ticketing and baggage areas, security screening lanes, a greeting-area cafe and car rental facilities.
The Federal Aviation Administration provided a $20 million improvement grant. Work was completed this year.
The project was named the 2017 Airport Project of the Year by the Washington Airport Management Association.
