Arlington-based HCI Steel Building Systems has hired Lee Elvgren as sales representative for northern California, northern Nevada, Utah and southern Idaho. Elvgren will develop an "authorized builder" network in that region. HCI makes pre-engineered steel building systems.
Platt Electric Supply has opened a branch in Woodinville. Tom Brennan, a 32-year veteran of the electrical industry, is managing the 10,600-square-foot office at 14101 N.E. 186th St. The branch, which is the company's 66th, features a showroom and warehouse. Joining Brennan are Gregg Nease, assistant manager, Scott Anderson, inside sales, and Bill Purdy, warehouse/driver. Brennan previously worked at Platt's Ballard and Everett branches. Based in the Portland area, the company is a wholesale distributor of electrical and related products to the construction, commercial, industrial and data communication markets.
Atkins Hanscomb Faithful & Gould, a construction management and project services firm, has opened a Seattle office. It is being run by David Nash, a British-born builder who has worked in the Seattle area since 1988. Nash was educated at Thames Polytechnical College and Ewell and Redhill technical schools in England. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Builders.
