Seattle's Lease Crutcher Lewis has hired Molly Lallemand and Angela Baldi in its accounts payable department. Lallemand is accounting supervisor. She has 12 years of experience, and was recently with Click2Learn and Ocean Beauty Seafoods. Baldi is an accounting assistant. She has five years of experience, most recently with Evergreen Bank.
Port Blakely Communities has won the Gold Nugget Grand Award for Sustainable/Green Residential Project of the Year for its Puget Sound Energy Built Green Idea Home at Issaquah Highlands. The demonstration project is a hands-on showcase of environmentally friendly design and product ideas. Nearly 100 green building techniques were incorporated in the home by its architect Mithun and homebuilder Bennett Homes. The Gold Nugget Awards are part of the annual PCBC trade show and conference in San Francisco.

Seattle's Long Painting earlier this year received a national AGC/Willis Construction Safety Excellence Award. The company won second place for having no work site fatalities and no multi-catastrophic injuries in 2003 while logging over 500,000 worker hours. Long has implemented a safety program over the past five years that has reduced lost-time injuries by about 92 percent.
Alan C. Richard has been named a director in the construction litigation practice of the financial advisory services practice of Deloitte & Touche in Washington, D.C. Richard previously was a principal and national director of construction advisory services for another Big Four accounting firm.
