Demolition contractor Trepus Corp. of Bellevue has hired Andy LeVeque as project engineer. LeVeque holds a bachelor's degree with an emphasis on sustainable construction from the University of Washington. He recently completed a certificate program in construction management.
Window and door manufacturer Jeld-Wen has promoted Ken Kiest to coordinating general manager of five wood fiber divisions where molded door facings are made. Kiest is overseeing manufacturing, production and sales. He joined the company in 1981, and worked as general manager of the Fiber of Washington facility since 1995. He is a 1980 graduate of Oregon State University.
Anchorage-based Alaska Structures, a maker of fabric shelters, has opened a 20,000-square-foot manufacturing plant at 9401 King St. in Anchorage. The firm makes shelters for the U.S. military in Iraq and the United Nations' disaster relief operations.
