Skorge

Greg Cannon, Erik Skorge and Rob Ridings have joined University Mechanical Contractors. Cannon is a senior project manager with over 37 years of experience in construction, project management and estimating. Skorge is the firm's new detailing manager. He is using his 24 years of industry experience to manage CAD and detailing projects. Ridings is a service agreement executive. He previously worked for Puget Sound Refrigeration and is developing service programs for building owners and managers.

ABC of Western Washington

Roberts

Novak

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington has promoted Wendy Novak to vice president of membership and hired Michele Roberts as member services coordinator. Novak joined ABC in 1998 and has served in several positions, including member services coordinator. Roberts holds a bachelor's degree in political science and history from Winthrop University.

Pattison Construction

Springer

Pattison Construction has added Marc Springer to its estimating team. Springer previously worked for KG Investment Management and Spieker Properties. He is an experienced building engineer and construction project manager. Pattison is based in Redmond.

Lease Crutcher Lewis

Lopez

Rob Lopez has joined Lease Crutcher Lewis as corporate safety director. Lopez has eight years of construction safety experience and is a qualified OSHA outreach instructor. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas. The company also announced Ashley Frederick has been promoted to project engineer from intern project engineer. Frederick holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington.

Barclays North

Barclays North of Everett has hired new staff. Included are: Holly Benchand Melanie Clark, land development assistants; Tanya Frederiksen, controller/CPA; Tonya Gagnon, accounts payable specialist; Lafe Hermansen, project manager; Phil Johnson, commercial development administrator; Rick Reece, project coordinator in the Commercial Department; Janette Scott, executive assistant in the Land Development Department; Tim Stobb, construction superintendent; Shane Summer, controller/CPA; and Julie Whitney, vice president of administration. The company also promoted Leslie Adamson to chief financial officer and Dawn Solvberg to vice president of finance.

Army Corps of Engineers

Sheryl Carrubba has been named operations manager of the Channels and Harbors Project for the Portland District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Carrubba previously was chief of the district's Waterways Maintenance Section, and has worked for the corps since 1986. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from Humboldt State University.

FoundationWorks

Portland-based FoundationWorks is building a manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters in Greensboro, N.C. Production from the new plant is expected to begin within the next few months. The company named Jack Beaty as vice president of sales for its eastern region. Beaty, who has 24 years of industry experience, will work from the new offices. FoundationWorks makes factory-built foundation systems for homes.

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions has won the second place safety excellence award from the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association. The Seattle-based mechanical design-build contractor won the award in the "over 500,000 man-hour" category.
