Barclays North of Everett has hired new staff. Included are: Holly Benchand Melanie Clark, land development assistants; Tanya Frederiksen, controller/CPA; Tonya Gagnon, accounts payable specialist; Lafe Hermansen, project manager; Phil Johnson, commercial development administrator; Rick Reece, project coordinator in the Commercial Department; Janette Scott, executive assistant in the Land Development Department; Tim Stobb, construction superintendent; Shane Summer, controller/CPA; and Julie Whitney, vice president of administration. The company also promoted Leslie Adamson to chief financial officer and Dawn Solvberg to vice president of finance.
Sheryl Carrubba has been named operations manager of the Channels and Harbors Project for the Portland District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Carrubba previously was chief of the district's Waterways Maintenance Section, and has worked for the corps since 1986. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from Humboldt State University.
Portland-based FoundationWorks is building a manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters in Greensboro, N.C. Production from the new plant is expected to begin within the next few months. The company named Jack Beaty as vice president of sales for its eastern region. Beaty, who has 24 years of industry experience, will work from the new offices. FoundationWorks makes factory-built foundation systems for homes.
MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions has won the second place safety excellence award from the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association. The Seattle-based mechanical design-build contractor won the award in the "over 500,000 man-hour" category.
