PSF Mechanical

Carrie Rulison joined PSF Mechanical as executive sales assistant and Kaisha Spicer joined the firm as an account executive in the Service Department. Rulison is a LEED Accredited Professional and has more than 25 years of industry experience. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Spicer has more than 10 years of industry experience and holds a bachelor's degree in marketing. PSF is a design-build mechanical contractor.

Parr Lumber

Parr Lumber won “Best Marketing Campaign” and “Best Advertisement Campaign” at ProSales Magazine's 2009 Excellence Awards. Parr won an excellence award in the marketing category for its “Get Real” campaign, which promotes green construction and materials. It won an honorable mention in the advertising category. Parr's Washington locations include Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Lynnwood, Fife, Vancouver, Ridgefield and the Tri-Cities.

Parametrix

Parametrix won a 2009 Construction Management Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America for the Cape Flattery Scenic By-Way. The project, which improved 12 miles of roadway for the Makah Tribe on the Olympic Peninsula, won the infrastructure category (constructed value less than $15 million). Scarsella Brothers was the contractor.

LIUNA

The Laborers' International Union of North America earlier this month graduated the first class in its weatherization training program. More than half of the 19 graduates were from low-income urban neighborhoods. The city of Seattle intends to find jobs for the graduates with contractors involved in the Weatherization Assistance Program.

Kuker-Ranken

Mountlake Terrace-based Kuker-Ranken promoted Joe Marlette from service technician to machine control specialist. Marlette, a graduate of Lake Washington Technical College, is selling and supporting machine control products in his new role. He has been with the company for seven years. Kuker-Ranken provides supplies to contractors, surveyors, engineers and architects.

Pape Material Handling

Hall

Randy Hall was named regional rental sales manager of Pape Material Handling in California. In his new role, Hall is overseeing rental sales and operations in Central and Northern California and in Reno, Nev. Hall has more than 10 years of experience in the equipment rental industry, most recently with United Rentals in Northern California. Pape Material Handling is part of Eugene, Ore.-based The Pape Group.
