BNBuilders, a Seattle-based West Coast general contractor, hired Joe Hull as project executive. Hull previously was president and principal of True North, a commercial construction service company in Tacoma. He spent many years with Hoffman Construction, where he managed such projects as the Experience Music Project, Seattle Central Library and Seattle City Hall. He has Design-Build Institute of America certification and completed the Professional Liability Program.

Richard Glidden joined the account executive team at Holaday-Parks in Seattle. Glidden has worked in the mechanical contracting industry for more than 14 years as a mechanical designer and project manager. He is a certified Sustainable Building Advisor and a LEED V2.0 Accredited Professional.
Sam Baker, partner of the Seattle-based law firm Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, will receive a 2012 Golden Beaver Award on Jan. 13 at The Beavers' annual awards dinner in Los Angeles. Baker's award will be in the service and supply category. Baker holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington and a J.D. from the University of Montana. He was a founding member of the UW Contractor Industry Advisory Council and has been a director of the Western Washington University Foundation. The Beavers is a heavy-engineering construction association.
Tacoma's Korsmo Construction won the 2011 Corporations for Communities award in the small company category. The civics award honors Washington businesses that contribute to the community. Korsmo held the fifth annual Billy Stocking Special Olympics swim meet; built and donated dozens of wooden bunk beds to the Tacoma downtown YMCA shelter; and donated time and materials to build the Fallen Officers Memorial in Lakewood. The winner of the large company category was Sterling Savings Bank. An awards ceremony will be held tomorrow.

Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Mariam Abarientos to accounting supervisor and Katie Henry, Shannon Testa and Ashley Frederick to project managers; and hired Max Cummings as a project engineer. Abarientos holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Seattle University and has been with the company since 1996. Henry, LEED AP, joined Lewis in 2004 after earning her master's degree in civil engineering from Stanford. She is managing deconstruction of the McGuire Apartments. Testa joined the company in 2007. She holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. Frederick joined Lewis as an intern in 2003, and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. He is assigned to upcoming improvements at University Village. Cummings interned for Lewis in 2010. He started in construction as a laborer at age 16, and recently earned his bachelor's degree in construction engineering management from Oregon State University.

Express Construction hired Robert Gold as a senior project manager. Gold has more than 27 years of experience in retail, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, assisted-living, multifamily and student housing projects.

Shawn Mahoney was promoted to principal in the Project + Construction Management practice group at OAC Services. Mahoney has more than 20 years of experience in the design and construction industries, including six years with OAC as a program and project manager.
Andersen Construction Co. hired Steve Loudin as a superintendent and Anders Bjorn as a project manager. Loudin is working on the Pike Place Market child care renovation project. He is experienced in military projects, restaurants, medical offices, parking garages, office towers and hospitals. Bjorn is working on the Evergreen College Communication Building renovation. He is experienced in school, medical, military and airport projects. Andersen has offices in Seattle, Portland and Boise, Idaho.
Seattle-based Global Diving & Salvage promoted Deirdre Daily from office manager to general manager of the Alaska Region. Daily has been involved in all aspects of the Alaska office's daily operations, including assisting with estimating and project management.
