The Seattle office of Lease Crutcher Lewis hired Doug Baker as project manager, Lana Gochenauer as BIM manager, Brian Gray as project engineer, LaQuanza Flowers as staff accountant, Julie Ly as accounting assistant, and Whitney Duncan as an information technology and operations assistant. Baker is working in the Special Projects Division. He previously was at another construction firm for seven years. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. Gochenauer is a LEED Accredited Professional and is studying for a green MBA online from the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. Gray started in construction in 2006 and holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering management from Oregon State University. Flowers has seven years of accounting experience. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/finance from Seattle University. Ly has been in accounting for four years and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and computer science from Western Washington University. Duncan studied at the College of Southern Maryland and has a background in CAD, carpentry, IT and administration.

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington hired Gay Huckins as office manager. Huckins' primary duties are office administration and bookkeeping. She has nearly 20 years of experience in construction and construction-related industries. She previously worked as the service manager for an HVAC company, project administrator for an environmental remediation firm and office manager/bookkeeper for an architecture company.

Embrey Bronstad joined Mortenson Construction's Seattle Operating Group as design phase manager for the water/wastewater market. Bronstad will handle estimating, pricing and preconstruction planning. She will also prepare budget estimates, value analysis and system cost analysis, as well as schedule design and construction activities. She has 10 years of experience in environmental and civil engineering, and holds a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Redmond-based Olympian Precast added Michael Yore as a project manager/estimator. Yore has more than five years of concrete construction experience as a project manager and estimator.

Rushforth Construction of Tacoma appointed Jerry Eubanks as director of operations. Eubanks has more than 20 years of experience in construction management. Most recently, he worked for more than two years in Afghanistan as the area construction manager for the U.S. military base building trauma centers, housing and tactical operations centers.


John McGowan joined the AGC Education Foundation board of trustees and Rick Workman joined the foundation's executive committee. McGowan is president of Abbott Construction and Workman is senior project manager in the Special Projects Division at Lease Crutcher Lewis.
Renton-based Metro Glass Co. hired Mark Braunschweig as senior project manager and estimator. Braunschweig has more than 20 years of experience in commercial glazing, with 17 years in estimating and project management. His specialty is federal contracting and blast mitigation.

Chad Fisher is a new member of Skagit State Bank's board of directors. He owns Chad Fisher Construction in Mount Vernon.
Express Construction Co. of Bellevue reached platinum level contractor status in the ABC National STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) Program. STEP helps contractors develop safety and loss-prevention programs.
Snyder Roofing of Washington won the 2012 Firestone Building Products Partner in Quality Award. Snohomish-based Snyder was among the 193 North American roofing companies honored with the achievement, which is given to contractors who install Firestone roofs, maintain them, and achieve low warranty repair ratings.
