Jeff Olmstead, Charley Senne, Adam Neace, Matt Smith, Michael Kim, Karl Benjamin, Wil Anderson and Marc Kinsman joined Mortenson Construction; and Nate Hamstra and Cera Davis joined the Mortenson Seattle Operating Group. Olmstead is a superintendent. Senne is a senior project engineer. Neace and Smith recently graduated from Washington State University and are field engineers. Kim recently graduated from the University of Washington and is a field engineer. Benjamin is a project manager. Anderson recently graduated from Oregon State University and is a field engineer. Kinsman recently graduated from the UW and is an integrated construction coordinator in the Kirkland office. Hamstra graduated from Ferris State University in 2000 and is a project engineer. Davis graduated from WSU last year and is a field engineer.


R|Miller Inc. of Bothell hired Rocky J. Stratton and Eric S. Cavanaugh as superintendents. Stratton has more than 20 years of experience as a superintendent, including stints with DP Inc., SGA Corp. and Bridgeway Construction. Cavanaugh has more than 16 years of experience in construction, management and project planning.
Tacoma's Rushforth Construction changed its name last week to Adolfson & Peterson Construction to reflect its sale in 2009 to the Minneapolis-based company. The entire Rushforth team is expected to stay.
Spokane-based Cascade Windows added Randy Buchanan as vice president of operations. Buchanan has more than 31 years of experience in the glass industry, including 30 years at Milgard Manufacturing where he was director of Northwest operations. Prior to joining Cascade Windows, he spent a year as general manager at Tacoma Glass Manufacturing.
