Flatt

Matt Flatt was promoted to director of large electrical construction for Cochran's Washington business unit. At Cochran, Flatt has been an estimator, project manager and most recently a project executive. Cochran has offices in Seattle, Wenatchee, Spokane Valley and Tigard, Oregon.

PCL Construction Services

For its Seattle office, PCL Construction Services added Steven Li as senior estimator; Charlie Gwinn as project manager; Eric Anderson, Davis Heeter and Rachel Nelson as project engineers; and Saul Lopez as field engineer. Li, a 23-year industry veteran, holds master's degrees in civil engineering and management information systems, and an MBA in finance. Gwinn is working in the Special Projects Division. He has 20 years of experience in new and renovation projects, and holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design/architecture from the University of Colorado. Anderson is an Army Special Forces veteran who also is working in Special Projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. Heeter is a former PCL intern who holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from WSU. Nelson graduated from Purdue University with bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and construction engineering and management. Lopez is a former PCL intern who holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Brigham Young University.

RDH Building Science

Two building science firms — RDH Group and Building Science Consulting — merged this month to form RDH Building Science. The new company operates eight offices across the U.S. and Canada, including Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, B.C. It provides building science consulting ranging from construction project management to assessment and investigations.

The Seattle office of Swinerton Builders hired Robert Hatheway as senior project manager; Scott Patterson as project manager; Will Stocking as senior superintendent; Eric Williams and Kelly McKinney as superintendents; Trevor Foote, Andrew Ochs and Michael Jones as project engineers; Kamaile Sedeno as project coordinator; and Haeli Landry-Evans as marketing coordinator. Hatheway has 34 years of construction experience, and is managing tenant improvement and hospitality projects. Patterson has a background in healthcare and education construction. Stocking has more than 45 years of industry experience, with a focus on hospitality and retail projects. Williams has more than 15 years of industry experience. McKinney is working in the company's tribal group. Foote, recently discharged from the Army, is working in the estimating department. Ochs interned at Swinerton's Denver office and recently graduated from Washington State University. Jones was a carpenter for nine years before graduating from the University of Washington. Sedeno worked for three years at a Seattle-based subcontractor. Landry-Evans has a background in marketing and communications.

Smith

Graham Construction hired Kevin Smith to lead its Seattle office on healthcare projects and existing work. Smith has more than 26 years of construction experience and has worked with a number of healthcare clients.

Faber Construction

Lynden-based Faber Construction opened an office in Woodinville to expand its presence in the Seattle area. It's headed by project manager Todd Nyquist, who has 26 years of experience in commercial, industrial and residential construction. The office is at 18800 142nd Ave. N.E., Suite 1B. Faber builds warehouses, schools, apartments, restaurants and other specialty projects up to $15 million in value.

Skanska

John Dudasch is Skanska's new vice president for its civil business unit in the West. Dudasch has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, and previously was project executive at Granite Construction and vice president/North American operations director at CH2M. He lives in the Denver area.
