The Seattle office of Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Jay Sorensen from vice president to executive vice president, and Troy Bloedel and Bill Gormley from project executives to vice presidents. Sorensen is in charge of operations and is focusing on workforce development, recruitment and resource allocation. He joined Lewis in 1997. Bloedel has led the company's business development efforts for years and continues in that role. He joined Lewis in 2008. Gormley focuses on systems, resources and standards that support Lewis operations. He joined the firm in 1995.

Walsh Construction Co. promoted Alexa Zastko to project engineer, Erich Behrens to chief estimator and James Weaver to assistant superintendent; and added Cassondra Parkerson as HR administrator in the Seattle office, Jason Wilson as assistant superintendent and Rick Hall as superintendent. Zastko began her career at Walsh in 2013 as front desk administrator and was promoted to marketing administrative assistant in 2014. Behrens joined Walsh in 2012 as senior estimator. Weaver started at Walsh in 1993 as a laborer and most recently was labor foreman. Wilson is working on the Plaza Roberto Maestas project. Hall is at the Aloha Inn project.

Express Construction

Richard Austerman and Joe Cantwell joined Express Construction as superintendents. Bellevue-based Express provides preconstruction, construction management and new construction/shell and core services.

Pacific Earth Works

Oster

Monroe-based Pacific Earth Works announced that Ell Roy Oster has been with the company for 30 years and Juan Cruz has logged in 25 years. Some of Oster's projects include UW Surgery Center, Marysville Getchell High School and Via6 Apartments. Projects that Cruz has worked on include Seattle Children's Hospital, Bellevue City Hall Garage green roof and Stone 34. Pacific Earth Works is a landscape contractor specializing in commercial and high-end residential landscaping, green roofs and other projects.

The Tacoma office of Adolfson & Peterson Construction hired Eberlin Schwinn as project executive and Jay Langston as senior project manager. Schwinn has spent nearly 30 years in the industry, including five years as a construction manager with Boeing and 10 years as a senior project manager with Chinn Construction. Langston has been a construction manager for more than two decades, most recently with Mortenson Construction.

Millhollin

Travis Millhollin has become executive director of the Northwest Construction Consumer Council. Millhollin joined the organization following 25 years of engineering, business, and health and safety management roles at local BP and Phillips 66 refineries. NWCCC is a forum for public and private owners of capital construction programs in Western Washington to share best practices in project delivery.

Pavia Systems

Pavia Systems, a Seattle-based transportation infrastructure software company, hired Beth Chmielowski as vice president of customer experience. Chmielowski has more than 17 years of experience solving the people side of technology business challenges.

Bayley Construction

Mercer Island-based Bayley Construction refreshed its brand with a new company logo, an updated tagline, website, stationery package, colors, signage and marketing tactics. For the new logo, the company retained the plumb bob symbol to recognize the past, but modernized the design to be more precise and legible. Jovenville of Newport Beach, California, helped with the rebranding.
