The National Association of Home Builders swore in Juli Bacon as 2017 chair of the Professional Women in Building Council. Bacon owns JB Consulting Systems and Bacon Maintenance Services in Woodinville. Her focus as council chair is on building leadership strategies for women in the construction industry and setting up a mentoring program for them. Bacon is a long-time member of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties.
Dexter + Chaney entered into a partnership with the Associated Builders and Contractors to provide the association's members with technology tools they need to update their business practices as they grow. Dexter + Chaney of Seattle develops cloud-based construction ERP software.

The Decorative Concrete Council of the American Society of Concrete Contractors re-elected Clark Branum of Marysville as a director. ASCC is a St. Louis-based nonprofit representing the concrete industry.
Stoneway Concrete says it's the first concrete producer in the Northwest to implement Climate Earth's EPD (environmental product declaration) generator. Users of the system can log on to a website to instantly generate an EPD for any new or existing concrete mix. In addition to maximizing LEED points, the system enables Stoneway and its customers to design new mixes while simultaneously evaluating environmental performance and traditional performance characteristics such as compressive strength and slump. Greg McKinnon is operations manager at Stoneway.
Sharon Couts launched USAGardenCare.com, a platform for vendors and designers in the landscaping industry to market their goods and services. The e-commerce site charges them a 5 percent commission on each order. There are no monthly fees or start-up costs. USAGardenCare.com will be ready for consumers on March 20.
