Brad Hayes, senior vice president and project director at Sellen Construction, joined the executive committee of the AGC Education Foundation board of trustees. The foundation also has five new board members: Max Hanley, managing director at Propel Insurance; Leah Hanson, director of human resources at Imco General Construction; Julianna Plant, project manager at Lease Crutcher Lewis; Mike Price, director of development and project executive at Abbott Construction; and Phil Wallace, senior operations manager at Kiewit.

Hermanson Co. hired Eric van der Veen as account executive in the Critical Environments Group and Paul Prozinski as senior project manager. Van der Veen has over 20 years of project management experience and was a managing partner for a large local mechanical contractor. Prozinski was project manager for some of the largest firms in the local construction industry over the past 27 years. He has worked on large-scale projects for tech and industrial companies, as well as government entities. Hermanson is a Kent-based mechanical construction and services firm.

Osborne Construction Co. hired Dale Curtis as project superintendent and Ebrahim Faizi as engineer. Curtis has 12 years of construction experience, working as a carpenter, engineer, project manager and superintendent. He holds a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington. Faizi has nine years of experience and holds a bachelor's degree in architecture. He previously was a quality assurance engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers, and has worked on commercial, residential, roads/bridges, and transmission line projects.

New staff at Kirtley-Cole Associates includes senior project manager James Schwartz and superintendent Don Sheppard. Schwartz has experience building retail and distribution centers, mixed-used and commercial office projects. He is working on a cross-dock facility in Everett, Northshore Christian Academy's new building, and health care tenant improvements. Sheppard has more than 32 years of experience on large commercial office, multifamily and mixed-use projects. He is overseeing construction of the Shea Apartments on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

In Seattle, Graham Construction & Management added Alexis Den Herder and Erin Reilly as project engineers; Ken Hokens and Phil Bowman as senior project engineers; Jake Brown, Jed Smith, Mick Sheedy, Rick Bradford and Erich Hoobler as superintendents; Nancy Hawke and Chris Griffin as senior project managers; and Justin Gotcher as project manager. Den Herder is working on the Dravus Apartments and Reilly is on the 100 Denny Apartments. Hokens has 19 years of construction experience, starting as a union ironworker. Bowman has four years of experience working with healthcare, retail and multifamily projects. Brown has been in construction for over 30 years, specializing in high-rise, multifamily and retail projects. Smith has experience with multifamily, retail and office tenant improvement projects. Sheedy has 25 years of construction experience and is supporting Westbank's 1200 Stewart project. Bradford has worked on healthcare and multifamily projects for 26 years. Hoobler has over 22 years of construction experience. Hawke has worked on healthcare, tenant improvements and office remodel projects for 23 years. Griffin has 28 years of experience working on multifamily and education projects. Gotcher has nine years of industry experience and is on the 100 Denny project.

Trico Companies

Nilson

Kyle Nilson was promoted to assistant project manager at Burlington-based Trico Companies. Nilson grew up operating heavy equipment for his family's construction company before earning a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. While attending college he was in the operators union and traveled to remote parts of Alaska to build airport and roadway projects during the summer. He has experience as a foreman and project engineer in Alaska.

PCL Construction Services

In its Seattle office, PCL Construction Services promoted Jared Gothard to assistant project manager and added Patrick Webber as project manager, Doug Sprute as senior estimator, Mel Rostron as manager of the health and safety program, Richard Femenella as superintendent and Brent Siegfried as field engineer. Gothard started with PCL in 2012, and has worked on the Cielo and Potala towers, the South 200th Link extension and several airport projects. Webber transfered from PCL's Hawaii office, where he worked for 15 years. Sprute also spent several years in the Hawaii office, and has been with PCL since 1994. Rostron has run safety programs at PCL's Hawaii and California offices since 2008. Femenella joined the company in 2014 and spent the last few years working for the Transportation Infrastructure Group on the South 200th Link extension. Siegfried recently earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Washington State University.
