KBA hired Mark R. Fuglevand as senior construction manager in the Bellevue office. Fuglevand previously was vice president at Marshbank Construction, and has 33 years of experience as a heavy highway contractor, project manager and engineer. He also is chairperson-elect of the National Utility Contractors Association. KBA provides construction management.





Stoneway Electric Supply

Spokane-based Stoneway Electric Supply bought H.D. Campbell Co., a Kent industrial distributor in business since 1950. Stoneway is expanding its market share in the Pacific Northwest, according to the company. It distributes electrical, industrial, energy and data communications products to contractors and institutional and industrial customers. Stoneway operates 15 branches in Washington and two in north Idaho. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Crescent Electric Supply, a national electrical distributor with 160 branches.

In Kirkland, Osborne Construction Co. added Jaime Becker as compliance counsel, Sean Quinn as project engineer, Eric Coulter as engineer, Janice Nelson as controller and Dean Capps as project superintendent. Becker has 11 years of experience as an attorney and four years in the construction industry. She is helping Osborne comply with government regulations and internal policies, as well as reviewing and writing contracts. Quinn holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Central Washington University. He previously led a team of engineers and drafters at Synsor Corp. that worked on stores for Starbucks. Coulter is a recent graduate of the construction management program at Colorado State University, and previously was an office engineer. Nelson has more than 20 years of experience in construction accounting. Capps has over 25 years of construction experience, including roles as project manager and project engineer.

Emile Le Roux joined the Seattle office of Rider Levett Bucknall as a principal. Le Roux has over 25 years of construction cost management experience, and has been with RLB for 16 years. He specializes in pre-bid cost management, preparation of bid documents, contract administration and cost control during construction.




MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

Shannon Affholter is resigning as executive director of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, where he has served in that role since 2013. His last day will be Oct. 6. Affholter will then become COO at Oakpointe Communities, a local land and commercial development company. Incoming 2018 MBA President Erich Armbruster will help search for a new executive director when he takes office in January.

Erickson Inc.

Portland-based Erickson Inc. appointed Doug Kitani as CEO and director. Kitani previously was CEO of IAP Worldwide Services, and holds an MBA in finance and strategy from Emory University. Erickson provides helicopters for infrastructure construction, among other aviation services.

Lindsey M. Pflugrath, an attorney at Cairncross & Hempelmann in Seattle, was named a fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America. Pflugrath is a member of the firm's construction litigation practice. Her clients include owners, owner's representatives, contractors and multi-disciplinary design firms. CLSA limits membership to 1,200 practicing fellows around the world.
