Vanir Construction Management

Fulton

Craig Fulton joined Vanir Construction Management as project director in the Port Angeles office. Fulton spent five years in the public works department at the city of Port Angeles. Prior to that, he served 27 years in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, retiring as captain. For Sacramento-based Vanir, he is managing projects across the Olympic Peninsula.




Fortive

Everett-based conglomerate Fortive signed an agreement to buy Gordian, a privately held provider of construction cost data, software and services, for $775 million in cash from Warburg Pincus, a private equity investor. The deal is expected to close this fall. Greenville, South Carolina-based Gordian will become part of Fortive's Field Solutions group.

Guerrette

In Seattle, Skanska promoted Lew Guerrette to vice president and Rob Robinson to account manager. Guerrette has 26 years of industry experience (20 with Skanska). He has worked on a variety of projects, with a focus on the life sciences sector. He also has led local Skanska employee training programs. Robinson has 30 years of industry experience (21 with Skanska). He advises colleagues working on GC/CM projects.


MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

Lowe

The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties named Marco M. Lowe as director of government affairs. Lowe was vice president of Enwave Seattle, the city's renewable district energy system. Prior to that, he was chief of staff at New York City's Department of Small Business Services, director of community relations for Mayor Greg Nickels and a member of Gary Locke's gubernatorial staff.




Strate Line

Barnhart bought Strate Line, a company based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, that rents operated hydraulic cranes from 30 to 175 tons in Idaho, Montana and Washington. Memphis, Tennessee-based Barnhart will maintain all of Strate Line's assets and employees, but will manage operations primarily from its Spokane branch. Barnhart has nearly 50 branches and rents cranes to nearly 1,800 tons in capacity.
