He is business unit leader for the Infrastructure & Public Works division. Van der Veen was an account executive at Hermanson and has over 23 years of industry experience. He is business unit leader for the Highrise, Hospitality & Office division. Hermanson provides mechanical construction, design-build engineering and service/maintenance.

The Seattle office of The Walsh Group hired Andres Plancarte and Sidney Hutchison as project engineers. Plancarte is working in the Estimating Department. He previously worked for Walsh in Kentucky; and Jurgensen Companies and Geotechnical Consultants, both in Ohio. Hutchison recently graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. She is working on the Hilltop Tacoma Link light rail extension.

Eickhoff

Burlington-based Trico Companies promoted Will Eickhoff to project engineer. Eickhoff interned at Trico while earning a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington, graduating last month. He is a LEED Green Associate and 10-year Navy veteran.
