In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Ryan Scarff to project manager; and hired Brenda Cooper as director of information technology, Katie Christensen and Robby Treadwell as project engineers, and Joan Nieman and Debbie Granston as operations assistants. Scarff has been with Lewis since 2012 on projects such as Troy Block and Building Cure, and is now working on preconstruction for multiple projects. Cooper has over 25 years of IT innovation and management experience. Christensen and Treadwell recently graduated from the University of Washington with bachelor's degrees in construction management. Nieman has a background in construction management, facility management and design; and holds a construction management certificate from the UW. Granston has a background in construction and shipbuilding.

McKinstry

Miller

Seattle-based McKinstry named 25-year employee James Miller to the newly created position of vice president of operations for construction. In this new role, Miller is focusing on safety, understanding and mitigating project risk, and enhancing project performance/client satisfaction. He previously was director of risk management.

Jackson Contractor Group

Missoula, Montana-based Jackson Contractor Group opened an office at 5421 E. Desmet Ave. in Spokane Valley. The new office is headed by Brian Beck, division manager. Jackson has 250 employees and works in seven states, mostly in the West. It builds civil, K-12 and higher education, health care, laboratories, residential, municipal and government projects.

Northwest Demolition & Dismantling

Concord, California-based ASRC Industrial Services acquired Northwest Demolition & Dismantling of Tigard, Oregon. Terms of the deal were not provided. Founded in 1954, NWDD works in the industrial, government and military, health care and commercial sectors. It has other offices in Kapolei, Hawaii, and Vancouver, B.C. ASRC provides industrial and environmental services throughout the U.S. and is a subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corp.

Lisa Yandrich, administrative manager of Trico Companies, joined the board of the Association of Washington Business. Yandrich has been with Burlington-based Trico since 2014. Prior to that, she provided executive, business and administrative support at the Washington State Employment Security Department.

UMC

Mukilteo-based University Mechanical Contractors is rebranding itself as UMC. The company says it shortened its name so that it's inclusive of all its expertise and offerings. UMC provides mechanical design and construction, energy services and facility maintenance.
