The Design-Build Institute of America honored Tim Graybeal, a design-build manager at Lydig Construction in Spokane, with a 2019 Distinguished Leadership Award. Graybeal won in the Industry Professional category. He has completed over $750 million in design-build projects over the past decade and serves on the project review committee of the state Capital Projects Advisory Review Board.

Sage Homes Northwest

Everett-based Sage Homes Northwest earned kudos for systems integration as part of the 2019 Oracle Construction and Engineering Awards. Sage switched from manual data entry to Oracle's Primavera cloud platform to connect project management with accounting. Mike Brown, Sage's business systems and process manager, spearheaded the move. Data analysis consulting firm ProvenBI helped integrate Sage's accounting software with Primavera.

Guardian Roofing

Auburn-based Guardian Roofing is holding its second Guardian Halo Project, which provides a free major roof repair or replacement to a homeowner in dire need. Lease Crutcher Lewis

Anderson

In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Geoff Anderson to vice president of project planning and delivery. Anderson joined the company 24 years ago as a project engineer and rose to project manager and then director of preconstruction. He continues to lead the preconstruction group while overseeing cost control, scheduling and project management in Washington.

Mortenson

Mortenson's Seattle Operating Group hired Jeremy Holland as market executive for its environmental and infrastructure projects. Holland has 23 years of engineering experience, serving as project principal, technical advisor, project manager and design engineer. He comes from HDR, where he was vice president and water client development leader in Oregon. He is based in Portland, but travels around the Pacific Northwest to Mortenson projects.

Graham Construction & Management

In the Puget Sound area, Graham Construction & Management added several staff: superintendent Kimo Cambra and senior HSE coordinator RJ Kiesel Kauhane to the 1200 Stewart project in Seattle; construction manager Patrick Webber and senior project coordinator Ray Pinney to the 707 Terry project in Seattle; superintendents Mick Sheedy and Buck Loshbaugh to the First Light project in Seattle; senior project manager Shelton Burch, superintendent Michael Racek and project coordinator Kyle Snyder to the Alexan Central Park project in Redmond; senior project manager Dave Schroeder, superintendent Travis Rea, senior project coordinator Michael Cunningham and foreman Harrison Humphrey to the Alexan Shoreline project in Shoreline; superintendent Curtis Gilley to the Ballard Blocks II project in Seattle; and superintendent Jason Schmidt, project coordinator Phoebe Mayer and senior project coordinator Esther Yuen to the Waterfront Place Central project in Everett.

Skanska

In Seattle, Skanska raised $287,000 for Rainier Scholars at the seventh annual Bricks & Books Auction. Rainier Scholars helps low-income students of color gain access to quality education. Skanska also sponsors Rainier Scholars' annual luncheon and hires interns and full-time employees from the program.
