Redmond-based electrical contractor Sequoyah added Brian Cole as senior project manager and Dillon Maguire as Network Services Division project coordinator. Cole has over 19 years of experience providing estimation, preconstruction planning and execution of projects from bid to closeout. He works in the Special Projects and Tenant Improvement Division. Maguire brings over 10 years of experience in end-to-end warranty coordination, vendor relations, field supervision and customer service. He comes from Pacific Ridge Homes and Bosa Development.

Molocznik

In Seattle, Justin Molocznik joined JTM Construction as safety director. Molocznik has a decade of industry experience and holds a master's degree in industrial and organizational psychology. He most recently was safety manager at Mortenson Construction and prior to that a director at Forensic Analytical Consulting Services. JTM says its lost-time incident rate and EMR are consistently below the industry average. The company has been a member of the AGC Safety Team for over 15 years.

Clocksin

Kirkland-based Compass Construction hired Karl Clocksin and Brian Welsh as senior project engineers, Brittany Duhs as project engineer and Csaba Orban as assistant superintendent; and promoted Esteban Reyes to superintendent. Clocksin previously worked for the company.

Welsh Commissioning Group

Performance Validation acquired Auburn-based Welsh Commissioning Group. Performance Validation is an Indianapolis-based company providing commissioning, qualification and validation services to the life science industries. The buyout allows employee-owned Performance Validation to expand its geographic reach. Welsh employees will also become owners of Performance Validation. Welsh Commissioning Group was founded in 2005 by Bryan Welsh to provide third-party building commissioning in the Pacific Northwest. As part of the buyout, Bryan and Joan Welsh will retire from the business and Tim O'Neill will continue to lead the local group as a division of Performance Validation.

Celina Venegas-Sanchez is the new Central District manager and safety specialist for the Associated General Contractors of Washington. Venegas-Sanchez has five years of experience as a safety manager at an AGC of Washington member general contractor. The Central District is based in Yakima.

University of Washington

Great Business Schools, an online guide for students entering business schools, ranked the University of Washington's online master's degree program for construction management as the second best in the country for accelerated courses. The top school in that category was the University of Florida; Arizona State University came in seventh and the University of Alaska — Anchorage came in ninth.
