Chris Root, Michele Klika, Andrew Baker and Jason Riley are the newest shareholders of Redmond-based contractor Sequoyah Electric and Network Services. Root leads the Technologies department of Network Services, where he oversees the team's efforts in design, production and ongoing support of audio-visual, CCTV, security, telecommunication systems and custom integrations. Klika is the company's human resource director. Baker is director of information technology, responsible for IT infrastructure strategy. Riley is manager of the Special Projects/Tenant Improvements division.
Tacoma-based Colvos Construction promoted Gabrielle Schwartz, Tanya Russell and Casey Angeline to the newly formed role of senior project engineer, allowing them to participate in project management functions and gain further experience for future career advancement. All were project engineers. Colvos says senior project engineers must have at least five years of commercial construction experience, a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in construction management, and demonstrated dedication to the company and their project teams.
Renton-based Rock Project Management Services hired Jason Suzaka as project manager. Suzaka, DBIA Associate, was previously project manager at Puget Sound Energy with a focus on electrical infrastructure projects. RPM provides owner's representative services to public and private clients throughout Washington that have K-12, transportation, health care, energy and technology, and tribal projects.
Granite Construction became a title sponsor of Evergreen Speedway's Super Sprint Car Series. Mark Ottele, senior project manager for Granite's Pacific Northwest Region, spearheaded the deal. Ottele is a regular at the Monroe track and noticed a few years ago that many race fans were construction workers. A family connection to driver Cameron Neisinger led to sponsoring his car, which led to sponsoring the Sprint Car Series as a whole. After interning with Granite, Neisinger now works full-time as an engineer at the company. Granite is a heavy-civil construction company based in Watsonville, California, with multiple offices and plants in Washington.

Redmond-based general contractor Kassel & Associates promoted Carly Palmer to project manager and added Tony Gange as superintendent and Jason Lian as project manager. Palmer, previously a project engineer, has been with Kassel since 2015. Gange and Lian each have many years of experience in their positions. Kassel focuses on public projects.
In Renton, Rock Project Management Services hired Anne Reese as senior project manager and Josephine Bayan as project manager. Reese, MPM, previously was senior project manager at Vanir Construction Management. Bayan, PMP, previously was business development manager/project manager at Roots Project Control Services. RPM provides owner's representative services to public and private clients throughout Washington that have K-12, transportation, health care, energy and technology, and tribal projects.
