Gene Juarez Salon and Spa

Gene Juarez lobby
The 15,000-square-foot Gene Juarez Salon and Spa in Seattle won the Salon of the Year award from Modern Salon magazine, which praised the light-filled, natural interior as well as one of the spa's signature treatments: the envelopment therapy which allows customers to be gently steamed while floating on water.

The spa was designed by NBBJ and Rysia Suchecka of NBBJ was the interior designer. Gene Juarez who, along with Michael Coe, owns the seven-spa chain was also involved in the design and decor. Wilcox Construction was the general contractor for the project,- which involved renovation of space in the former I. Magnin building at 607 Pine St. in downtown Seattle. The total cost for the new spa was more than $3 million.
